The Competition:


'The Poetry Box Halloween Poetry Annual Award 2016' is a unique and increasingly popular international poetry competition, and in addition to the Prizes awarded, the Winners and Finalists Entries, the Judge's Special Commendation Award Entries and Highly-Commended Entries, will all be published on a Special 'Winners & Finalists' page on The Poetry Box website - and in addition - will also be published in one of the two 2017 Editions of ‘The Poetry Box Magazine’ - Publication Format: Printed & Posted, A4-Sized, Illustrated and Comb-bound Romantic Poetry Publication. 


A Live Poetry Recital of the Winners & Finalists Poems will take place in 2017 - the venue to be advised.  Winners and Finalists may choose to perform their own poem - or may nominate a reader to perform their winning entry on their behalf.

Prizes: 


First Prize Winner - The elegant and engraved large Glass 'The Poetry Box Halloween Poetry Annual Award 2016' and the decorative 'First Prize Winner' Award-Winning Certificate, publication on The Poetry Box website and publication in a 2017 Edition of ‘The Poetry Box Magazine’. 


The 2nd and 3rd Place Finalists will receive decorative glass Trophies and Award-Winning Certificates respectively, and publication as per the First Prize-Winner, above. 


The 'Judge's Special Commendation Award' winning Entries will receive decorative 'Judge's Special Commendation Award' Certificates and 'Highly Commended Award' winning Entries will receive decorative 


'Highly Commended Award' Certificates - Plus - Publication as per the First, Second and Third Prize-Winners, above. 


Please Note:


ALL Prize Winners and Finalists Poems will be published on a special ‘Winners & Finalists’ page on The Poetry Box website and will also be published in one of the two 2017 Editions of ‘The Poetry Box Magazine’ - Publication Format: Our Printed & Posted, A4-Sized, Illustrated and Comb-bound twice yearly Poetry Publication.


Rules:


The Poem/s Must Be Halloween-Themed and in Rhyming format.  Length of Poem: 120 Lines Maximum per poem.


One Poem Per A4 White Paper Page, Typed, Single Line Spacing.


Poems which have been previously published or selected in other poetry competitions ARE ACCEPTABLE


Poet's Personal Details To Appear On The 2016 Competition Entry Form below - OR - typed on a separate A4 page. 


Poems must be submitted BY POST ONLY to the postal address below.


Entry Fees:


GBP £4.00 for 1 Poem - GBP £10.00 for 3 Poems - GBP £14.00 for 4 Poems, up to a maximum of 4 Poems per Entrant.


Entry Fees are Payable By Personal Cheque Drawn Against a British Bank Only to: LK ROBINSON

ALL Entrants agree that their Poems may be selected for inclusion in 'The Poetry Box Magazine' for up to one year 

AFTER the Competition Deadline (31 January 2018).   Entrants may withdraw their poems from this agreement, if necessary, 

however please request permission to do so, in writing.  Thank You.
