To celebrate the continuing remarkable success of the unique UK-based Horror, Gothic-Horror and Dark Poetry Monthly Magazine'The Poetry Box Dark & Horror Poetry Magazine' - edited, compiled and published by the Founder and Coordinator of The Poetry Box Studio in Hampshire, England, LK Barley Robinson - 'The Poetry Box Dark & Horror Poetry Silver Cup Award 2013' is a Unique International Poetry Competition in these unusual poetry genres.

In addition to the beautiful and generously-sized engraved Silver Cup Trophy, Award-Winners Certificates and Cheque Prizes, Winners, Finalists and Highly-Commended Awarded Entries, and a number of Judge's Special Commendation Entries, will be published in the Special 'Winners & Finalists' EditionPublication Date: 5 June 2013 (Format: Printed, A4, Illustrated, Comb-bound) - and - displayed on-line on a Special 'The Poetry Box Dark & Horror Poetry Silver Cup Trophy Award Prize-Winners' page on The Poetry Box website.

The Entries will be judged by the Editor LK Barley Robinson who is a multi award-winning, much-published and radio-broadcast Dark-Fantasy, Gothic-Horror and Dark  Verse-Fable Poet and Author, and a former Magazine Columnist with The Observer Series of Newspapers, and founder of The Poetry Box Magazine.

Judging Details: 'The Poetry Box Dark & Horror Poetry Silver Cup Trophy Award' 2013: 

The Judging will commence on 2 May 2013 - and the Prize-Winners and Finalists will receive notification of their success by end-May 2013.

The Publication Date of The Poetry Box Dark & Horror Poetry Silver Cup Award 2013 - 'Winners & Finalists' Edition of The Poetry Box Horror & Dark Poetry Magazine is: 5 June 2013 - and ALL Prize-Winners and Finalists Poems will be featured in this Special Edition.

About The Poetry Box Studio: The Poetry Box Studio is situated in Nyewood near Midhurst and Petersfield, on the West Sussex/Hampshire border. 

The Poetry Box Is Open To The Public Every Wednesday between 2.00pm to 5.00pm with Live Poetry Readings Performed by Poets Between 2.00pm - 2.45pm on Wednesdays - and - 3.00pm - 3.45pm on Sunday Afternoons - in the Garden of the Studio - by Appointment Only.

1. The Poem/s Entered Must Be: Horror, Gothic-Horror, Dark-Romantic, Dark-Fantasy, Supernatural, Satire and Dark-Themed Poems.

2. Length of Poem/s: 60 Lines Maximum per poem - Maximum of 4 Poems per Entrant.  

3. One Poem Per A4 White Paper Page. 

4. Poems Must Be Typed in Single Line Spacing. 

5. Poet's Personal Contact Details To Appear On A Separate Sheet - or -  Please Complete Entry Form Below and Return  with your Poem Entry/s (preferred).  

6. Entry Fee is GBP £5.00 per Poem - or - 3 x Poems for £10.00 - or - 4 x Poems for £14.00 - Maximum of 4 Poems  -   For Overseas Entrants:  Payments Must Be in Pounds Sterling or USD.

From the August Edition 2012, we were pleased to Announce our Special 'The Sinister Poetry Award' - a Unique Dark & Horror Poetry Award for International and Contemporary Dark & Horror Poets.

The Sinister Poetry Award' Submission and Prize Details:

Poets are invited to submit up to 4 poems per month - maximum of 60 lines per poem (although we do consider longer poems, 60 lines is the preferred format) - for consideration for both publication in the Magazine and for consideration for each Edition's 'The Sinister Poetry Award'. 

'The Sinister Poetry Award'-winning Poem is then Selected and Published in the Magazine, and the Award-winning Poet receives a Special 'The Sinister Poetry Award Certificate' for that Edition  - Plus -  An Attractive A4-size Dark, Gothic or Horror Illustration for framing.
